Jessica A. Groves
Jessica joined Longsworth Law LLC in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, Jessica practiced family law at her own firm. Jessica now uses the soft skills she developed in her family law practice to better serve her clients’ estate planning, estate administration and business planning needs.
Getting to know her clients and their families is Jessica’s first priority. Because she takes the time to really know her clients and learn about their needs, Jessica can spot potential issues, identify estate planning opportunities and create thoughtful estate plans that address circumstances unique to each client. To Jessica, estate planning is more than preparing documents – it is getting to know people to develop an estate plan crafted specifically for them.
Jessica also spends time in the trust and estate administration arena. Specifically, she enjoys working with trustees throughout the life cycle of a trust and guiding personal representatives through the estate administration maze following a person’s death. Her goal is to tailor each representation to the needs of the trustee/personal representative and to provide the level of support needed during what can be a difficult, transitional time.
Often overlapping with her estate planning and administration practice, Jessica counsels small business owners and works with them to grow and develop their business. In the case of a new business, she will help the owner identify the best business structure and then work with the owner to officially organize the business. Jessica enjoys helping small businesses and being a part of their growth and development.
